Slide Conversion to DVD
Maybe you were recently in your parent's basement and found an old cardboard box full of old slides from family vacations. The memories contained in each slide are far too precious an asset to be stored on such a fallible medium. Your 35mm slides are printed on transparent "reversal film" that unfortunately is very sensitive to water damage, changes in temperature and humidity, chemical spills and fumes, and other accidental situations.
Obviously, now is the best time to convert your family's pictorial history from analog film to digital media. Digital storage is more convenient than traditional methods because it takes far less storage space (thousands of photos can reside on a tiny memory card, instead of a full bookshelf of photo albums.) Digital photos are more easily shareable through email and social media. You can also make as many copies of a digital file as you want.
There are several ways to store the images from your slides. One popular method is to convert slides into the DVD format. Thousands of pictures can be stored on one disc. And you can pop the disc into your DVD player to scroll through photos on your television. Or you can load the DVD into your computer's optical drive and e-mail the photos or put them up on a blog or website.
