There’s something unique about getting out the good ol’ slide projector and seeing old memories unfold before your eyes on the projector screen. It’s definitely not something that people really do anymore. The same goes for getting out old photos from their albums and looking through them. With these wonderful ways of reminiscing, why should you scan your slides and photos?
We here at Denevi have given this some thought. As professionals in the film and camera industry for decades, we know a thing or two about both slides and photos. We love them as much as you do. Unfortunately, photos and slides do not last forever. As physical media, they can and most likely will deteriorate over time naturally, and that is assuming outside factors like temperature and water damage don’t get them first.
That’s the beauty of scanning them, though; you can have your cake and eat it, so to speak. If you send your photos or slides to our store, we can scan them and put the images on a DVD in a digital format. As long as that disc isn’t scratched or broken, your images will be preserved. You could even copy them to your computer for safekeeping, if you would like, and even print them at your leisure. At the same time, you would still have the originals to enjoy.
